What is BaZi Date Selection?
Date selection (擇日) is one of the most practical applications of Chinese metaphysics. For thousands of years, Chinese families have consulted practitioners to identify the most auspicious dates for life's major events — weddings, house moves, business openings, and more. The principle is simple: every day carries its own energetic signature, and aligning your important events with favourable energy increases the likelihood of a smooth, successful outcome.
Master Tinhan's date selection goes beyond generic “lucky day” calendars (通勝/通書). Those calendars provide generalised advice for the population at large, but they do not account for your personal BaZi chart. A date that is auspicious for one person may be unfavourable for another, depending on their elemental constitution. Master Tinhan analyses your specific Four Pillars to find dates that are genuinely harmonious for you.
The analysis considers multiple factors: the day's Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch, whether they produce, control, or clash with the elements in your chart, the monthly and yearly energy overlay, and any special formations or star combinations that enhance or diminish the day's quality. The result is a ranked list of recommended dates, each with a clear explanation of why it suits your event and your personal chart.

Wedding Date Selection
The most popular request. Master Tinhan analyses both partners' charts (and optionally parents' birth years) to find dates that support marital harmony. Both the registration date and banquet date can be assessed separately.

Within the medically safe delivery window, Master Tinhan identifies the most auspicious date and hour for your baby's birth. Both the day and the specific two-hour period (時辰) are recommended.

How the Date Selection Process Works
Ordering is straightforward — the entire process happens online, from intake form to PDF report delivery.
1. Submit Your Details
Fill in the online intake form with your birth details (name, date, time, place of birth), the type of event, your preferred date range, and any constraints (venue availability, work schedules, etc.). For weddings, include both partners' details and parents' birth years.
2. Secure Payment
Pay securely via Stripe (credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay). Your payment is processed immediately, and Master Tinhan begins the analysis.
3. Receive Your Report
Within 2 business days, you receive a PDF report through your account dashboard. The report lists 3-5 recommended dates, ranked by suitability, with a detailed explanation for each — including the day's elemental composition, how it interacts with your chart, and the optimal time of day for your event.
4. Follow Up
You have 1 follow-up question within 14 days to discuss the recommended dates, ask about alternatives, or clarify any aspect of the report.
